The Finnish footwear label Karhu returns with two new sneakers featuring the Moomins, the central characters in a series of books and a comic strip by illustrator and writer Tove Jansson. This new collaboration celebrates these beloved roundish characters with a playful reinterpretation of the Fusion 2.0 and Aria 95 silhouettes.
The Fusion 2.0 is crafted from ballistic nylon and micro-perforated suede. The sneaker’s tongue and interior feature a vivid geometric Moomin print, while the tongue’s upper is embellished with a Karhu x Moomin woven label. This silhouette comes in “India Ink/Chambray Blue” colorway.
The “Dawn Blue/Sleet” Aria 95 includes a colorful all-over Moomin print as well. Its upper is constructed from sturdy mesh and features a Moomin logo embroidery and a “M” logo in reflective PU. A Moomin illustration print is found on one side of the heel.
The two silhouettes will be available from February 4 at Specimn’s store and e-shop.
