For their fifth collaboration, Rick Owens and Veja introduce a sustainably made footwear capsule. This season’s collection is centered around two silhouettes: the Performance Runner and the Hiking Style which bring together Rick Owens’ signature design and Veja’s ethics.
The Performance Runner is an adaptation of Veja’s Marlin model that embraces Rick Owens’ aesthetic while keeping a technical facet. The sneaker is completely vegan, with an elegant upper constructed from recycled polyester, and an outsole that is 65% bio based. Its minimalist construction and sharp midsole provide fast sensations and comfort. This style comes in four colorways: Hunter, Carnelian, Black, and Pearl.
Inspired by outdoor lifestyle, the Hiking Style is the chunkier of the two designs. It includes an outsole made of Amazonian rubber and rice waste as well as a midsole constructed from 40% sugar cane. This silhouette’s upper is constructed from C.W.L., a vegan alternative to leather which is 54% bio-based. This style is available in Black, Dust and Honey, and an extra pair of lacing comes along each pair.
The Hiking Style is now available in two colorways in Specimn’s store and e-shop.
