VEJA has joined forces with the world leader in high-performance rubber soles Vibram to create the Dekkan, a technical model designed for long walks.
The two brands have co-developed a functional sole combining ecological materials and Vibram’s advanced technology. They used Amazonian rubber and GEB (Granulado Escuro Brasiliano) for the outsole, and VEJA’s sugarcane-based EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) for the midsole.
The Dekkan is versatile as its sole provides an overall balance between grip and durability, as well as great cushioning and energy return. Its upper is made of Alveomesh, a technical fabric made exclusively from recycled polyester which brings breathability, flexibility, and lightness to the shoe. With waterproof TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) parts on its sides and rubber on its front and heel, the model gives an optimal protection.
The Dekkan will be available in Tent Pierre Purple on Specimn’s e-shop and physical store from October 21, 2021.
